Fish Mongers

The fish market was bursting with activity. Light was low and I struggled to find a shutter speed that was fast enough to handhold the camera without creating a blurry mess. This picture series represents a couple of hours of old school photography – ASA 400 Tri-X film, manual focus, 28 mm f2.8 lens. The wide angle lens brought me into the subject’s personal space. The fish mongers were welcoming and invited me into their world, if only for a few precious minutes.
